Built in 1900,
the Boston Symphony Hall is one of the top three symphony halls in the world...
And acoustically speaking, the best in the USA.
The acoustics are so powerful because of the shoe box shape of the hall,
the tilted walls of the stage,
and the narrow balconies.
Though not overly ornate, the building is beautiful.
I loved the ceilings.
And the beautiful, marble stairs.
The word for this Friday (11/16/12) is
SOUND.
{A favorite sound? Of sound mind? Sound the alarm? Safe and sound.
Sound bites from your week.}
