"I remember, I remember,
The house where I was born,
The little window where the sun
came peeping in at morn.
He never came a wink too soon,
nor brought too long a day...."
Thomas Hood
This tree, that hugs the corner of a small apartment building near my house,
reminds me of a tree that hugs the corner of my childhood home.
Not the same bloom, or the same architecture...
but it's the color combination...
and the soft flower set against the jagged stucco.
The subtle combination of our natural world
and the man made...
Shoot, edit.....and voila!
My own little stroll down memory lane.

ReplyDeleteI love the textures and the light ...
ReplyDeletewonderful story and great shots. the third one is my favorite because of the stucco wall and the blue ridge at the bottom, very painterly. love it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot...the colors, the textures, the lines. Awesome story behind the photos!
ReplyDeleteLove the light and the contrast between the soft pinkness of the tree and the building -- and the beautiful tones in the last one!
ReplyDeleteWe had the same thought this month--blooming trees! Neat to see you tied it to a childhood memory ...
ReplyDeleteLove the pink against the cream of the stucco. Great processing.
ReplyDeleteWonderful memories. I love the shot of the blossoms growing right from the rough bark.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pink, this is the way memorie works. Such a lovely photo-heart connection
ReplyDeleteMy fave is the 2nd one with the pink against the blue pattern. I am drawn to images that include nature interacting with manmade. These surely fit that. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteIt can be such subtle things that trigger a memory! I love your description of the colors and how they remind you of your childhood home. Wonderful images! Thank you for sharing in the Photo-Heart Connection this month.
