I confess.
This has been one of the most beautiful weekends of the year,
and I spent most of it indoors.
I didn't clean out cupboards or paint a book case. {but I pinned a few things}
I didn't fix gourmet meals. {or non gourmet meals for that matter}
I didn't even get my laundry done. {started it...does that count?}
But there was sleeping,
and resting.
There was reading.
And movie watching. Lots of movie watching.
All the kids were in and out ~
we enjoyed meals, movies and hanging out.
Me time. Us time.
Couple time and family time.
It has been a great 'end of the season' weekend.
I don't have any little ones to send off to school tomorrow.
I'll just be up early, getting caught up on the mundane.
I will get outside and walk.
Some out door me time.
And the sweet hues of summer will bring a smile to my face
while I wait for the brilliant foliage of autumn
to join the cool air and the shorter days.
It's nice to not be in a hurry.
To be rested.
And ready for the week ahead.
contentment just oozes from this post. I felt myself relax as I read it! I'm glad you had a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI think it's such a beautiful thing when we can spend a weekend recovering and resting and refilling... and the air was so beautiful this weekend - having the windows open on a beautiful day is sometimes (gasp!) almost better than sitting in the sun itself :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderfully spent holiday weekend.
ReplyDeleteI've been out for my walk this morning - a little humid, but I enjoyed being out there!
Sounds like an amazing way to spend a weekend!!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have to do what the world expects us to do. We can do what's best for us. I love this post!
