Treasures

"We can only be said to be alive in those moments
when our hearts are conscious of our treasures."
Thornton Wilder

This place is a treasure ~ my nature place ~ bathed in light,
changing with the seasons...my alone place.

These books are vintage treasures ~ all belonging to my grandparents. The Shakespeare book was a gift from my great-grandfather to my grandmother...then passed on to me. And the bookends were in my house growing up...

My daughter and I each have one of these whimsical treasures ~ I'm the sunflower, she's the honey bee. We bought them together the day before her wedding after lunch with the bridesmaids!

I treasure the evenings when my husband does all the cooking!

And here is this week's best shot. Why? Because I see home made love. Treasures made for a beautiful bride. Her mom made the veil...with the lace from her own, worn some thirty years ago. I made the guest book...and this photo reminds me of our wonderful weekend with cherished friends.
