Where my love lies waiting silently for me...

"Tonight I'll sing my song again,
I'll play the game and pretend.
But all my words came back to me in shades of mediocrity
Like emptiness in harmony I need someone to comfort me
Homeward bound,
I wish I was,
homeward bound,
Home where my thought's escaping,
Home where my music's playing,
Home where my love lies waiting
Silently for me.
Silently for me."
Simon and Garfunkel

Few things say home to me like this man.
And this man, in this place - his childhood home -
is a comforting,
soul calming,
double dose
of that wonder - filled
notion
that is
HOME.

Coming home to him,
in whatever country of the world,
city, town or neighborhood that's housed us over the years
takes all that is seemingly mediocre about my day
and raises its value.

In ten days,
we'll be making our thirtieth trip together to Oregon...
together.
Can't come fast enough.

  8. So sweet! People are definitely home. Often it's not about a place, but the people we share place with.
