Black and White Wednesday ~ Exploring Harpswell

Uncle Gary took us for a wonderful boat ride on Sunday.
In and out and around and about all the waterways that combine to make up the
beautiful Maine town of Harpswell.

We had a wonderful tour - lots of stories told and questions answered.
A true local led the way!

From little lobster shacks to mega mansions and dream houses,
we looked and dreamed and chose our favorites.
The coast is rugged.
And charming.
And I'm eager to return!

There was a lot of pointing.
A lot of "ooohing" and "aaaahing."
And, did I mention the wishful make-upping??!!!

I haven't ever seen as much of the coast from the sea...
And I genuinely loved every minute of it!

  1. I really like the proessing/editing choices you made on this photographs....a very vintage feel.

  2. That looks like fun, although, while I love the ocean, but I do get a little skittish on boats! Living by the ocean, though, would indeed be a dream!

  5. It looks gorgeous. I haven't been up to Maine in a few years, but this makes me REALLY want to go back!! We were going to go to Old Orchard Beach this summer, but ended up going to California in April instead.

  6. These shots are timeless.

I have spent a similar afternoon on the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri just as happy as can be. I have to admit feel a bit envious of your trip up the coast.
