Kindness.
An old truth.
A virtue in all lands, for all times, across all religions and philosophies.
When a friend comes to visit and
arrives with a bunch of beautiful new sunflowers,
I feel known.
And loved.
And I'm reminded that
"no act of kindness,
no matter how small,
is ever wasted."

Oy, what a post! Lovely in every way.
ReplyDeleteCome visit my yesterday post? It has lots of pictures. Unusual for me.
What a true and wise statement! I think I'll take some flowers from my garden to a neighbor today. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet friend. I think one of the biggest blessings is to know and be known. And that's really a tall order in today's society of "all about me". You have a treasure in this friend that knows what speaks to your heart.
ReplyDeleteI have never thought about that. To feel known and to feel loved. Wow. How great to know you can feel both!
ReplyDeleteI love sunflowers especially when they're a gift :)
ReplyDeleteTo feel known and to feel loved - great words and so true. Aesop's lines at the end are good to keep in mind - and Aesop is known by far too few these days!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
I love the shadows of the sunflowers :) So beautiful!
