"We are all cups, constantly and
quietly being filled. The trick is
knowing how to tip ourselves over
and let the beautiful stuff out."
Ray Bradbury
Funny, isn't it? Seems that when
"stuff" spills out, it's often not
the most beautiful bits of all
the many pieces stored up inside.
Funny, isn't it? Seems that we
often feel much more "emptied out"
than filled up...makes me wonder
what blessings we've forgotten to count.
Funny...I watch young moms and
I remember the joys, the smiles
and the sparkling moments. The exhaustion's
long gone, the fears weren't realized...
one giggle between a mom and
child and I'm brought right back
to the wonder of it all.
Funny, isn't it? Seems like there
really is a trick to learn.
Could it be that an awareness
of the filling - of that everyday,
constant and quiet filling - will help
us live in wonder right here?
Right now! ...and teach us how
to let out the beautiful stuff.
