"In the bleak midwinter,
Frosty wind made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron,
Water like a stone..."
Christina Rossetti
With all this talk of weather,
I just had to stop by the pond on my way to work.
It {most definitely} feels as cold as this looks.
Happy to report that the sun is shining beautifully!
{which serves to keep the actual temperature above freezing
and to keep our spirits lifted as well}
i agreed, and it's not just the talk that has got me down today- it's living in it! Yikes I need to shake up my mood! FAST! Your post really helps.
ReplyDeleteThat's cold! Stay warm and cheered by the sun. We are keeping good company with this cold today in the deep south!
ReplyDelete"But Ms. Benjamin, why can't we go out when it's 2 degrees??" Kids!!
ReplyDeleteStay warm!!
it is frosty sub-zero temps here as well. cold, cold, cold.
ReplyDeleteThis week I have had to eat my words from last Saturday where I pondered where winter was - it showed up. big time!
ReplyDeleteThis looks very (very) frosty - brrrr! Isn't it amazing though how warm the winter sun can be (spiritually and physically).
Completely cold, and grey, and rainy here - and we just aren't used to this on the Texas gulf coast!! Love the variant colors in the ice.
