...winter has arrived.
After one round of shoveling on Monday this was the scene when I walked
and into our driveway!!
I'm really not one to chit-chat about the weather, but these days it seems to be hard not to talk about it! Two weeks ago there was that blizzard that might have made the news. {I think the local stations were on the air for 48 straight hours pre-empting almost everything else on the schedule. More irritating than the piles of snow, if you ask me} This week there was another winter storm that sent us 18 inches. Now I'm hearing that it's gonna snow from Saturday through Tuesday with another foot of flakes heading our way! Gotta love New England!
We just keep smiling, shoveling and scurrying back inside!

I have to say that this snow is so so beautiful, and that I just love going out for a walk when the snow is coming down..... BUT, I even love the snow more when I am seeing it here in your photos, and I am looking forward to 70 degrees over the weekend in Texas. Beautiful shots! Enjoy the beauty and be safe. Sure you will be wishing for spring soon! Hugs to you from down south
ReplyDeleteWE don´t have winter here in Venezuela... so any white scenery looks lovely to me! haha But don´t worry, I get you... I went to school in Illinois and really ended up hating winter! spring is around the corner so hang tight!
ReplyDeleteYay, New England!!
ReplyDeleteI get bummed by the constant coverage - if I am stuck at home I want to watch the Today Show!
Hang in there - we can do it!
Oh, better you than me. This previous Chicagoan, now Texan (I think more than twenty years is the deciding factor, dunno?) has become a whimpian of cold weather, lol! It's pretty and I want some snow pics but that's as far as I take it. Now, you look darn cute in that picture!!
ReplyDeleteOh my the first round of clearing, I know that feeling. What a strange winter it is this year that is for sure! Stay safe and stay happy through it all, spring is coming.
ReplyDeleteI am one of those New Englanders with you and I am real tired of snow and shoveling ~ Great wintry shots!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend to you,
artmusedog and carol
I do not miss these back to back to back snowstorms. It was so mild there the first half of winter, but now you guys are getting slammed with winter.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've heard. Keep smiling.
ReplyDeleteKeep smiling and stay warm and safe!
ReplyDeleteOh yes big time snow you have.
ReplyDelete. My friend sent me her snow blizzard pictures results living in N.Brunswick.
Have a look in my blog.
Oh she has a whooper and more to come.
You guys really got it! So glad it basically missed us. Take care!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, you are just buried in the most beautiful way possible!
ReplyDeleteFOr some states, snow is a given. Beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteIt's about all you can do....but wow, you sure do have a lot of snow!!
ReplyDeleteWe have very little on the ground right now, most has melted away. And the jury is still out for Sunday and Monday at the jersey shore, we may just get rain!!
You are getting nailed, even by New England standards! And more to come. Stay safe and take photos!
ReplyDeleteOhmigosh, I so totally do not miss the piles of snow! But you are right about the pre-empting TV for pointless storm coverage. It happens down here when something is brewing in the Gulf, and it's so tedious.

Did you see the time lapse video someone sent to The Weather Channel (I believe) of your snow. Wow - dat's a lot a snow.
ReplyDeleteKiddo #1 is ready for the thaw so getting around campus is more manageable.
