if i close my eyes i
see fields of green that seem
to stretch on and on forever
the wheeled sprinkler pipes send their
water swoosh wooshing through the air
i smell the grass, the sage
the warmth and the juniper trees
cows dot the landscape behind barbed
wire mooing and looking for shade
i see tough old rocks defining
the horizon and kissing the hem
of the precious expanse of sky

ReplyDeleteYour words are very comforting. Nature is our precious gift that will forever be with us no matter where we roam. It's a constant gift for all!
ReplyDeleteYou always manage to remind us of the beauty in things that we might drive past without a second glance.
