Black & White Wednesday ~ Truth

"Truth takes the stamp of the soul it enters.
It is rigorous and rough in arid souls,
but tempers and softens itself in loving natures."
Joseph Joubert

This is such an important thought.
I read it a few weeks ago and it moved me.
I keep turning it over and over in my mind...
May we always guard our own hearts.
May we remember to fill and nourish our own spirits
as we share our truths with those around us.

What do you think?
How does this quote strike you?

  5. Hmmm...I'm not sure what to make of the quote. Sometimes, there are tough truths we have to face or share with another. Or maybe this is a half full/half empty thing? Or how we interpret or share those truths with others? Sometimes it is a kind soul who can point out the truths we try to ignore. I usually just avoid them. Ha!

  6. The Bible says that the truth will make you free and I think basically this quote is saying the same thing just in a different way. Your photos were lovely.

  7. Excellent close-ups! I have a great respect for truth, but then there's the movie quote: "The truth? You can't handle the truth!"
