Learning to share a life and
grow a love comes in bits
and pieces. In bits of conversation
and conflict. In pieces discovered
or discarded. We combine odds and
ends of wit, wisdom and wonder
as {by trial and error} we
shape a marriage and build a
family. Experts speak. We try. Yet,
err we do, of course. Then
a bit of conversation, a piece
of the other discovered, and off
we go to try some more.
Through trials and eras we learn.
And our love continues to grow.
Lovely, Adrienne. You captured sharing a life .....:)
ReplyDeleteTo 'keeping trying' even when the errors pile up :)
ReplyDeleteOh you've captured marriage. Trials, errors
ReplyDeleteand rewards where they're most unexpected.
Oh this is so beautiful. I love the play on eras/errors, especially when I think of a Boston accent. You did a wonderful job representing the crux of marriage.
ReplyDeletebeautiful....you are a cute couple. here we always go with the 3 "c"'s.....commitment, compromise and cupcakes.....chuck added the cupcakes!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes - trial and eras. I hope to make the eras part as we've mastered the trials (having them, not necessarily bouncing back from them).
ReplyDeletehooray for keepin' on keepin' on! and looking for newness that inspires. marriage is not an easy feat!
ReplyDeleteSometimes trying is half the fun. :)

ReplyDeleteA lot of erring, but so much healing that makes the bond of marriage ever more special... After 20 years celebrated in August, Franck and I are still happily united, thanks to many such words of wisdom and love throughout the years. Thank you and Happy Anniversary...
