View From the Couch
Last we met, I was planning a taco dinner with my daughter and
our husbands (how wild is that to see in print!!?!)
She came over after work and we chopped ingredients and chatted ~ we are taco experts.
Pretty good at chatting too.
I even got an apple crisp ready to bake for dessert (and if you know me, that's pretty rare...)
About half way through the CMA's (which were fun, as always!), I got 'attacked'.
Kicked in the gut.
{nasty tummy problems}
I will absolutely spare you the details.
So, I've been moving between the bed and the couch for four days. Sleeping. Watching hours and hours of mindless television...cause that's what you do when you can't move. Well, that's what I do. Husband has been super sweet, kids have checked in to make sure I'm surviving. I've missed some beautiful, clear, crisp, "outside" kind of fall days. And two days of work. My "pre-planned" pajama weekend took on an entirely different slant. And I've felt sorry for myself a bit. OK. a lot. Happens to me when I'm sick. And isolated. Shocking, I know. Today there is laundry going, and I'm sitting up with my laptop - checking back in with the world.
Well, my virtual world, that is.

waiting for others to come to you.
You have to go to them sometimes."
Winnie the Pooh
This week, I'll be taking advice from a tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff.
I'll let you know how that goes!

ReplyDeleteYou can't help respecting anybody who can spell TUESDAY, even if he doesn't spell it right; but spelling isn't everything. There are days when spelling Tuesday simply doesn't count.
ReplyDeleteWere you soliciting favorite Winnie the Pooh quotes? Feel better!
The view from the couch is lovely, but I hope you are all the way better very soon.
