Six Word Friday ~ Long

For a long, long, very long
time I've set...and then re-set
a goal. I've imagined and hoped
and longed to be able to
climb Smith Rock. Yes, climb it.
The Misery Ridge trail is 3.8
miles up, down and  back around.
That's 1000 feet up. And down.
And a very, very, very long
way back around. Such a challenge,
such a huge victory! With breathtaking
scenery for my sweet, sweet reward!

My Memory Art six word fridays
Please join in the Friday fun!
Caption a photo, share a poem
or tell a story. Just remember,
only six words in each line!

  1. Congrats on making it! I've only done that trail once...usually we just walk along the river a couple miles and then turn around.

Next time you can climb it vertically with a rope for safety - like so many other crazy people who like rock climbing. : )

Looks like you are having a great time.

I love that the Sisters' mountains are in the background; Sisters, OR is my very most favorite place on earth.
