Still frozen.
Still snowy.
Branches bare and thorns exposed.
Winter's silhouette
challenges the light from spring's setting sun.
I stand.
Still.
Breathing in the evening air.
Releasing the chaos of the day that was.
And sinking, just a wee little bit,
into the softening
ground
beneath my feet.
