Another Reflection on Reflections

This post isn't going to be about fruit.
{although - YUM! - these berries were delicious}
Nope.
This is about one of my favorite weekly blog parties - Weekend Reflections!
I have linked over 150 posts to this meme over the past few years.
And this photo is a great example as to why I enjoy this so much!

The other morning,
while cutting my breakfast strawberries in my sunshine filled kitchen,
I noticed the reflection of the fruit in the knife.
And I paused.
Paused to enjoy it!
And then I got out a bigger knife so I'd get more fruit in my reflection photo,
and snapped a bunch of juicy pics.

This is why.
Having a reason to pause.
The idea of seeking out reflections often changes my perspective in a given moment.
Not only in the big, touristy and scenic moments,
but in the little, everyday moments.
And I love that!

The other day I was reminded of one of my favorite quotes
while visiting a favorite blog.
If you love Paris
{and who doesn't!?!}
you should hop over and visit
her Paris photos are beyond wonder-full!
Here's that quote we both love:

"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes,
but in having new eyes."
Marcel Proust

Thank you, James, for this gift of  new eyes!
