Black & White Wednesday ~ Farewell

I don't want to be writing this post.
I can't believe the day has come.
He's retired.
We'll never get to watch him save the day again.
Never get to see those power house arms raise the bat and send the ball out of Fenway again.

I will miss watching this man play baseball.

I'm hoping the rumors that he's sticking around Boston are true.
He has given heart and strength to this city over and over again.
I sure do hope he's sticking around.

Love you, big Papi.
Lots and lots.
Thanks for giving us years of your baseball magic.

  4. I don't know him, but I felt the same way when Cal Ripken Jr. retired from the Baltimore Orioles! They take a piece of your heart with them!

  7. Very nice post...I will miss him, too! I wish they could have taken their post season this year all the way to the World Series.
