Black and White Wednesday ~ Swan Lake

No books to buy. Or lunches to pack.
While everyone's telling back to school tales....we, for the first time in 23 years, have no students to prepare. No little send offs or big moves. No schedule adjustments, papers to sign or outfits to choose. Nope...it's just me and the husband, swimming happily together.

I'm enjoying your tales of firsts, my blog world friends. First steps ever into a classroom. First steps ever into a dorm room. As life moves us all along, our hearts stretch and moan and celebrate and mourn...the little ones grow. We grow. And I'm delighted to be invited into your stories. Your tales are as sweet, and special and individual as each of your children. Yet as universal as can be. They bring me back in time and keep me up to date. Thanks to all of you, my first back to school season with out any students of my own hasn't been hard at all.

Best wishes to all of you...to all of your kiddos...and to the wonderful teachers out there...for a great school year!

  2. I love the picture. I often wonder what it will be like for my marriage on 'the other side'--hope you two are like love birds in your empty nest!

  5. That is breath taking. Your timing is so exquisite. I wonder--did you stand there forever waiting for those swans to move towards one another, their graceful necks forming the outline of a heart? Or are you just so good with that camera that all of nature cooperates at your command?!
