"Solitude is very different from a 'time-out' from our busy lives.
Solitude is the very ground from which community grows.
Whenever we pray alone,
Whenever we pray alone,
study, read, write or simply spend quiet time
away from the places where we interact with each other directly,
we are potentially opened for a deeper intimacy with each other."
Henri Nouwen

ReplyDeleteThe last image of the gentleman walking off captured my attention! He seems to have an aim and not giving in to old age. Great shots and perfect words.
ReplyDeleteI have had a lot of solitude since the kids went back to school. It used to bother me but now I relish it and find it re-energizes me. xo
